Man Utd in contact with Ipswich boss McKenna

Manchester United have made contact over bringing back an old coach in a new role.

The Red Devils are seriously considering hiring Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna.

The former United assistant has led the Tractor Boys to the Premier League this season.

Now Foot Mercato suggests that INEOS chiefs have met with McKenna's representatives.

He was seen next to England manager Gareth Southgate on Monday night as Aston Villa took on Liverpool in the Premier League.

McKenna may not want to leave Ipswich, having played such a key role in their promotion.
