The Cleveland Guardians continue to receive key contributions from their impressive crop of young ballplayers.

It’s one of the many reasons you’ll find them at the top of the AL Central.

The latest rookie to come through for Cleveland is outfielder Oscar Gonzalez.

With the game Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Angels tied at one in the bottom of the sixth, Gonzalez unloaded on an 0-2 pitch from Angels’ starter Jose Suarez to put the Guardians on top 3-1, where they would stay and hold on to secure a key series win.

The home run was Gonzalez’s eighth of the season.

In 268 at-bats this season, Gonzalez is hitting .291 with 34 RBI and a .797 OPS.

Gonzalez is just one of many young studs the Guardians have on their roster.

From Gonzalez to Steven Kwan, Andres Gimenez, Richie Palacios, and Josh Naylor, the Guardians are full of young talent that has proven to be Major League ready and is providing the team with a little extra boost as the postseason looms.

Gonzalez has burst onto the scene and helped put any doubt about this Guardians team to rest.

Last night’s home run might have just been the biggest hit of his career so far.

In his last seven games, Gonzalez is hitting .370 in 27 at-bats with three home runs, 8 RBI, and an on-base percentage of .452.

There is a lot to be excited about if you’re a Guardians fan.

These young studs have the club pointed towards October and looking ready to do some damage in the postseason.

Gonzalez was just the latest young stud to come up big in the clutch for the Guardians.

The Guardians will go for a three-game sweep of the Halos this afternoon.
