It's that special time of year again for MLB's power hitters. It's the Home Run Derby. Where the big time power hitters who have hit a lot of Home Runs during the regular season hit as many home runs as they can to win the Home Run Derby trophy and a lifetime of bragging rights. First lets give you the full participation list.
American League Participants
Jose Bautista from the Toronto Blue Jays
Yoenis Cespedes from the Oakland Athletics
Adam Jones from the Baltimore Orioles
Josh Donaldson from the Oakland Athletics
Brian Dozier from the Minnesota Twins
National League Participants

Justin Morneau from the Colorado Rockies
Todd Frazier from the Cincinnati Reds
Giancarlo Stanton from the Miami Marlins
Before we get into the predictions and preview there are a few rule changes to this years Derby. First for every time a batter goes up to hit, the amount of outs will go from 10 outs to 7 outs. MLB did that to make the Home Run Derby go by quicker. Another change is that there are 10 participants instead of 8. And the format is different than from years past. In the first round, all 10 participants will hit as many home runs as they can, the top hitter from the AL and NL will get an automatic bye and advance to the 3rd round. The next two best hitters from both sides will face against each other in the 2nd round and the winners from both match-ups will advance into the 3rd round. The top 2 hitters from NL and AL will face each other in the 3rd round and the winners from each match-up willface of in the final round to determine this year's 2014 Home Run Derby winner. As you you can see an AL hitter will go against an NL hitter in the final round. So some big changes to this years format so let's get to the predictions.
